Vagamon feels like a different Kerala altogether — open grassland meadows rolling between pine groves, more reminiscent of the Nilgiris than the dense tea country around Munnar. It's one of the few spots in the region where paragliding is regularly available, and even non-flyers will enjoy the views from Murugan Hill across the meadows below. As a slightly longer add-on trip from Munnar, Vagamon works particularly well for travellers who want a change of scenery — open skies and grass instead of forest canopy and tea bushes — before heading back.
